Rundown Territory

Module 05 · Rundown Territory

Rundown exists to create alignment between the business a company has become and the way it is experienced by the outside world.

Overview

Businesses evolve continuously.

Their customers change.

Their ambitions grow.

Their capabilities expand.

However, the way they present themselves often remains unchanged.

This creates a gap between business reality and market perception.

Rundown exists to close that gap.

We call this Business Alignment.

Core Principle

Every growing business reaches a point where its external expression no longer reflects its internal reality.

This misalignment reduces clarity, weakens credibility and limits future opportunities.

Our role is to identify that misalignment and help resolve it.

What Business Alignment Means

Business Alignment is the process of ensuring that every customer-facing touchpoint accurately reflects the business behind it.

This includes:

These are not independent services.

They are different expressions of the same objective.

Rundown Standard

RD-005 · Every recommendation should improve alignment between the business and its external representation.

Before recommending any solution, ask:

Does this move the business closer to alignment?

If the answer is unclear, reconsider the recommendation.

In Practice

A website is not simply redesigned because it looks old.

It is redesigned because it no longer represents the business accurately.

A brand is not refreshed because trends have changed.

It is refreshed because the business has changed.

Every recommendation should be linked to an identified misalignment.

Operator Notes

Clients rarely describe misalignment directly.

Instead they say:

These are signals.

The responsibility of Rundown is to identify the underlying alignment problem before proposing a solution.
