Project Types

Document: 03-project-types.md
Version: 1.0.0

Purpose

This document defines the standard project categories supported by Rundown.

Every new client project should be classified into one of these project types before planning begins. Standardizing project types helps establish consistent feature sets, improve project estimation, simplify development, and encourage reuse across projects.

If a project combines multiple categories, it should be treated as a hybrid project while still following the standards of its primary type.

  3. Will users authenticate?

  4. Will products be sold online?

  5. Does the project require advanced animation or 3D?

  6. Does the project require custom business logic?

The answers should determine the appropriate project type.

Future Expansion

Summary

Every project developed by Rundown should begin by identifying its project type.

Standardizing project categories improves planning, estimation, architecture, and development consistency while ensuring that every project starts from an appropriate technical foundation.
